Meet Hadar Elbaz-Dempsey, L.Ac, M.S., Dipl. O.M.
A California State Board and National Board Certified Acupuncturist
Hadar was born in Israel, and after finishing her military service, moved to NYC and attended Nursing school at Hunter College. There she realized that her calling was geared towards holistic healing, and therefore she completed her education at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, graduating with a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Diego.
While starting her private practice and seeing a variety of cases and patients, she also volunteered at the San Diego Cancer Center in Encinitas, treating cancer patients using Acupuncture, Reiki, and Nutrition to help alleviate pain and side effects from Chemotherapy and Radiation.
Hadar worked as an employee at Sharp’s Coronado Hospital, treating Musculoskeletal Disorders, as well as treating in the Inpatient, Sub-acute department with patients who have been severely injured, are in a coma, and non-responsive. Hadar also ran a Weight Loss clinic at sharp’s using Auricular Acupuncture and Nutrition, having great success with spectacular results in the weight loss and improvement of the health of her patients.
Hadar also worked in a western medical practice at the Carmel Valley Women’s Health Clinic, treating Women’s health and fertility concerns, as well as using Herbal and Nutritional Medicine, Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, and Internal Medicine.
The focus of Hadar’s current work is largely focused on her specialty skills in the field of orthopedics. She works with a large and ambitious company called Prime Chiropractic Group which has offices in over a dozen locations and services a large and diverse patient population throughout the counties of San Diego and Orange. Hadar works at several different locations and treats over one hundred patients per-week for pain management and the difficulties associated with surgical recovery. She has developed unique skills in the management of multiple treatment rooms, rapid patient diagnosis, and the assessment of long term patient prognosis. Few Acupuncturists have had the opportunity to manage such a vibrant practice and to refine their skills to fit this high volume model of patient care. In addition to Hadar’s previous experience at Sharp’s Hospital and in Western OBGYN care, this experience has established her as an Acupuncture specialist within the allopathic medical field.
She also has field experience treating additional conditions such as:
- Musculoskeletal Disorders
- Endocrinology Disorders
- Respiratory Disorders
- Gastrointestinal Disorders
- Circulatory Disorders
- Ear, Nose, Throat Disorders
- Psycho-emotional & Neurological Disorders
Hadar’s Passion in life is working with Cancer patients and their families, helping them deal with their emotional and physical pain as they pass through the most difficult experience of their lives. However, Hadar’s Specialty is in the field of orthopedics and post surgical recovery. Her level of patient experience is remarkable for her time in the field with over 4,000 patient treatments completed in the field of pain management alone. When you meet Hadar you will know you are in capable and loving hands. Give us a call today.
